We are shocked by the cruel terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel and the subsequent escalation of violence. Our sympathy goes out to the families of the victims and the countless injured. Targeted attacks on civilians can never be legitimate. As a place of gathering and dialogue, we seek to understand the different and complex realities of life for people in Israel and Palestine and stand for the right of all to live in peace and without fear. We reject as unacceptable any form of condoning and trivialising violence, any form of antisemitism and racism.
Our thoughts are with all people in current crisis and war zones who have to fear bombs and violence.
