The Houseclub is a site of encounter, a space for artistic debates and experiments by, with and for young people.
In residencies over several weeks, local and international artists develop interdisciplinary artistic projects together with the young people, and the results are then presented as part of the programme at HAU Hebbel am Ufer. To this end, the Houseclub collaborates with a number of local schools. Since 2011 we have maintained a close partnership with the neighbouring Hector Peterson School and since 2018 with the “Kulturklasse” at the Fritz Karsen School.
At the Houseclub young people act as experts in their everyday lives, proactively dealing with current social debates, appropriating the artistic strategies of contemporary theatre, of performance, and of dance.
