Biography

Alain Badiou, former Maoist and political activist, is a philosopher, mathematician, and novelist. He is considered one of the most important and highly debated thinkers of our time, and is an advocate for the idea of communism. Alain Badiou is director of the philosophy department at the École normale supérieure in Paris.
