Alexandra Murray-Leslie

Biography

Dr. Alexandra Murray-Leslie is artistic researcher & co-founder of art band Chicks on Speed. Her current research focuses on iterative prototyping of semantic foot devices for audiovisual theatrical expression. She is adjunct faculty at Interface Cultures and Fashion & Technology, The University of Art and Design, Linz. Alex has curated, exhibited and performed internationally at cultural institutions and biennale’s including; MoMA, Whitney Biennial, New York, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, 57th Venice Biennale, Centre Pompidiou, Paris, ZKM, Centre for Art and Media, Karlsruhe & Ars Electronica, Linz. Alex is currently invited artistic research fellow, ARTEC program, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) 2018.
