Diana McCarty from Albuquerque (USA) lives and works in Berlin. She is an independent producer in the areas of media and a co-founder of the free artists radio reboot.fm 88.4 in Berlin. In addition she is a founding member of the network radia.fm for Kulturradio and the international society faces-l for women in media. As a cyberpunk in the 1990s she was actively involved in the creation of mailing lists, net art and independent media practices in digital culture. She recently worked with Filipa César on the film “Luta ca caba inda”, and took part as well in films such as “Spell Reel” and “Conakry” (with Grada Kilomba). Her work is about art, gender, diversity, politics and technology. McCarty has a longstanding interest in radical feminism.
