Jefta van Dinther

Biography

Jefta van Dinther is a dancer and choreographer. Trained at the Amsterdam School of Arts in Amsterdam, he now works in Stockholm and Berlin. In recent years, he has created “Unearth, On Earth I'm Done” (2022), “Mountains” (2021) and “The Quiet” for the Staatsballet Berlin (2019), among many other pieces. Jefta van Dinther also created and danced the choreography for the music video “Monument” by Robyn & Röyksopp and organized and curated the festival LIAISON in Stockholm (2015). Jefta was Associated Artist at Cullberg from 2019-2022. As a performer, he has worked with Xavier Le Roy and Ivana Müller, among others. Recurring themes in his work are the visible and the invisible, the uncanny, illusion, synaesthesia, darkness, labor, affect, voice and imagery.
