Jessica Huber works as a performer, dancer and is a founding member of mercimax, an arts collective based in Zürich. There, she has been regularly working with non-professionals (meaning people without stage experience). As a performer, she has worked with several other Swiss compagnies. Although most of her early work was in dance, her recent pieces have become more diverse, including workshops with different social groups. Jessica Huber graduated in 2002 with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre, Dance Science and Choreography from the Laban Centre London and the City University of London. She works with curiosity and has a special interest in the texture of relationships and in how we function as individuals in society. She is fascinated by the many possible aesthetics of exchange.
