Peter-Michael Hamel, born 1947, always remained in an intermediate place. He studied classical composition as well as the works of John Cage, Morton Feldman, Terry Riley, and Indian and Indonesian music. He played with “Gruppe Between” and also solo a version of “Krautrock” and worked with Josef Anton Riedl on its multimedial projects. Later, he taught composition in Hamburg and founded an inter-cultural music institute.
