Raluca Voinea is a curator and art critic living in Bucharest. Since 2012, she has been co-manager of the network tranzit.ro, where she is in charge of the Bucharest branches: a gallery, a community garden, and an orangery that functions as a space for sensitive ideas and plants. Voinea has been co-editor of the “IDEA arts + society” magazine and, since 2012, she is editor in chief of an exhibition collection released by IDEA publishing. In 2013, she was curator of the Rumanian Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale, where she presented Alexandra Pirici and Manuel Pelmuş’ piece “An Immaterial Retrospective of the Venice Biennale.” In 2012, she was a guest at the “Good Guys Only Win in Movies” festival at HAU Hebbel am Ufer. Voinea co-authored “Ein Manifest für das Gynozän. Skizze eines neuen geologischen Zeitalters” with Alexandra Pirici, which appeared in 2015. She currently works with Iulia Popovica on a project that discusses performance art in Rumania and Moldova.
