Till Passow studied film and television direction from 1996 to 2004 at the HFF Potsdam, and was also a guest student at the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute in Calcutta. Since 2004 he has been an independent filmmaker, teacher and director of short film workshops in collaboration with the Goethe Institut. Passow was a jury member of the Berlinale Peace Film Prize in 2012 and 2014 and has himself received numerous national and international awards for his documentaries. His most recent films are “Minister Mitras Master Plan” (2016), “Mor Sahib - Das Heilige Krokodil” (2012), “The Damned” (2009) and “Mast Qalandar” (2005). Mast Qalandar can be seen as part of “From Inside to Way Out” at HAU Hebbel am Ufer in 2016.
