Timo Daum is a university lecturer in the areas of media, online and digital economy. Alongside numerous publications on these topics he gives lectures and organizes conferences and workshops around questions of digital capitalism. Daum graduated in physics and has nearly two decades of experience in the IT branch both in Germany and abroad, where he has worked as a developer, online designer and project manager. The series “Understanding Digital Capitalism” appeared in the online magazine DAS FILTER. In 2016, in cooperation with Mein Grundeinkommen and Ex-Berliner, he organised a conference on the topic of basic income under the title “What would you do with a 1000 €?” In autumn 2017 his book “Das Kapital sind wir. Zur Kritik der digitalen Ökonomie” was published by Edition Nautilus.
