Ute Tellmann is lecturer for sociology at the University of Hamburg. She has studied in Berlin, Bielefeld, Toronto and Ithaca and received her Ph.D. at Cornell University. Her most recent book is titled "Life and Money. The Genealogy of the Liberal Economic" (forthcoming). She is currently working on the Moral Economy of Global Debt. Her research areas are Historical Epistemology, Contemporary Political Theory and Cultural Economy.
