All the members of She She Pop are directly involved on stage – the relation to their own live is the methodology. With “Testament”, which was created together with their own fathers, the Berlin collective turned the theatre into a negotiation space for a utopian process: to get some balance between the generations. The piece was premiered at HAU in 2010 and was then invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen and Impulse Theatre Festival. In its counterpart “FRÜHLINGSOPFER” [THE RITE OF SPRING] She She Pop also deals with their own biographies. Working with their own mothers they focus of the question of the female victim in the family and in society.
After countless performances at home and abroad, both pieces will now be shown again at HAU en bloc. This 'family reunion' à la She She Pop will be the last chance to see the classic “Testament” in Berlin.
Performances with English surtitles on November 25 (THE RITE OF SPRING) and November 26 (Testament).
