“I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.”
James Baldwin
“Superspreaders” are here to spread their political views on racism, gender, antisemitism; body-shaming and self-love, while not eliminating the importance of emotions in politics. With the support of the artists Anna Fries and Göksu Kunak, the students of the ‘Kulturklasse’ (culture class) – guided by the teacher Andreas Danner – got inspired for their Instagram contributions by “Pleasure Activism” (adrienne maree brown), the work of trans activist and artist Kübra Uzun, and other artists and activists that use social media as their medium. In their contributions, the students voice their concerns and views on discrimination that are also linked to self-hatred or lack of compassion.
