“Breathe in, breathe out, hear the damn autoimmune system rushing.” “Raven” is a symposium, a gathering and a play about peak performance and what happens when nothing works anymore. The frame of reference is the chronic illness ME/CFS. References are excess and club culture of the 90s and claustrophobic fantasies of forced standstill, as described by Edgar Allan Poe 100 years ago. Over the course of four evenings, “Raven” creates space for the stories and art that emerge in the environment and, above all, despite the chronic illnesses ME/CFS, long COVID and post-Covid. “Raven” is explicitly designed for sick people, companions and allies. Ambient theatre and relaxed performance with wounds, abrasions and mild ointments. Sick and non-ill artists are involved in the conception and design of the event series with various contributions.
