Part of the Festival “Heroines of Sound”

  • Music
  • Performance
approx. 180 minutes

The last concert evening in “Heroines of Sound” opens with Lucrecia Dalt’s “Interfolds”, an exploration of the musical potential of synthesizer, bass guitar and vocoding. This will be followed by Natalie Beridze performing pieces from her last album “Gugliava” and presenting material from her new project “Mapping Debris”. Ute Wassermann will present her reinterpretation of Cathy Berberian’s “Stripsody” from 1966. Annette Krebs will play a solo for three metal sheets, one string, voices and live electronics: “Konstruktion#2: Karkk”.

In the second part of the evening the vocal virtuoso Audrey Chen will explode the borders of visceral corporality and expressive power in “Stag Song”, followed by “Memory Loss”, an experimental DJ set by JD Zazie. To finish off the festival DJ Mo invites us to an aftershow party.
