Balthazar

Part of "The Power of Powerlessness"

  • Dance
  • Performance
60 Min

The protagonist of the performance is the donkey Balthazar. He encounters a group of performers and plays an active role himself that goes well beyond the decorative function usually given to animals in the theatre. The untrained animal never fully behaves according to our expectations. The fragile communication with the donkey requires a fine sense for the responses, intentions or even demands of such an unequal and unpredictable partner.
