Starting in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, he almost single-handedly founded a way of thinking and writing about pop, imbued equally with theory and subjective experience, which remains unparalleled in the German-speak­ing world to this day. In conversation with René Pollesch, Diedrich ­Diederichsen presents his new book Über Pop-Musik, covering more than ten years of work.

Shortlisted for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize 2014 in the category non-fiction.
