The Berlin-based group doublelucky productions is interested in the potential of augmented reality in theatre: the hybrid world created by embedding digital objects in shared physical space. In an open studio, Christiane Kühl and Chris Kondek, with whom HAU has been working for a long time and who were also part of the earlier editions of “Spy On Me”, will share the initial results of their research through short lecture performances and practical experiments. Questions arise: Does it still make sense to distinguish between real and virtual? Is AR new, or has reality always been augmented? Do we all have to enter the metaverse, or is collective world-building possible?
