On May 17th 2023, the Fonds Darstellende Künste will be awarding the Tabori Prize for the 14th time; it is the nation’s highest distinction for the independent performing arts. Beginning at 7:00 pm, this year’s prizewinners will be celebrated with an artistic associated program – live on stage at the HAU Hebbel am Ufer (HAU1) as well as in a live stream at HAU4 and www.fonds-daku.de.
Already at 5:30 pm, Lara-Sophie Milagro and Jeanne Charlotte Vogt will stream live from the Tabori Hybrid Studio and will do an advanced greeting for this year’s and former prizewinners and honorees, the members of the Tabori Jury as well as many other exciting guests from the independent performing arts.
The award ceremony will be opened with a speech by Helge Lindh (Member of the Bundestag, cultural policy spokesman for the SPD). Artistic contributions also await you from the prizewinners and honorees from last year: we are looking forward to a performance on the interface between contemporary circus and dance from Overhead Projekt (tbc) and musical acts from Meine Damen und Herren. Simone Dede Ayivi and the singer FAYIM will lead us through the evening.
After the ceremony, we would like to invite you to the dinner performance by the company Soydivision followed by an aftershow party at CAN.
