Les Rois du Suspense

  • Performance
60 min

Let’s imagine a dialogue dictated by a mysterious score. The actors don’t do what they say, but they understand that they should do the opposite. They break a promise that the stage gives to spectators. While the suspense is always increasing, the protagonists also intensify the disappointment. Words seem to lose their meaning. But they maintain their poetic sound. With their piece “Les Rois du Suspense,” the group Grand Magasin, founded by Pascale Murtin and François Hiffler in 1982, is presented for the first time in Berlin.
