Jeremy Wade had a residency at the HOUSECLUB from the beginning of September to the beginning of November 2012. Starting with the term globalization, he and the young people asked the question: What are we made of? How do we situate ourselves in the world? In the first working phase the students worked with Jeremy Wade and the visual artist Hanna Dougherty to create their own personal flags. They used symbols and designs that were important to them and that spoke for them. For the second working phase, they worked on a flag choreography, taking their inspiration from the perfected mass gymnastics of the North Korean Arirang festival, where several thousand people take part. What is the value of the individual in a mass, which in turn cannot exist without each individual? In the last working phase, the HOUSECLUB was transformed into a big film set. From the material that was shot there, four avant-garde short films were made with the title "Adventures in Stark Realism."
