Kombiticket: Nachtleben Berlin – 1974 bis heute

Tickets for both days (October 11th & 12th)

Just in time for the book fair, Stefanie Seidl, Wolfgang Farkas and Heiko Zwirner have edited a volume documenting the history of Berlin nightlife from 1974 to the present. HAU Hebbel am Ufer is celebrating the publication with two days of events. There will be exclusive concerts, performances and DJ sets by central figures from the history. “Berlin Nightlife” brings a wide variety of expressive forms on stage, spanning multiple generations and emerging from different niches and subsets of the subculture. Moderated single discussions with contemporary witnesses will call back to memory long buried anecdotes, making it possible to experience what the spaces of possibility once were in this city, which will have implications for what the future of nightlife might look like under the changing circumstances of gentrification and the shortage of affordable commercial space.

Produktion: HAU Hebbel am Ufer. Mit freundlicher Unterstützung von Musicboard Berlin.

Latest information for arrival

There is currently a construction site on Hallesches Ufer between Wilhelmstraße and Möckernbrücke underground station. There is a divided replacement route for pedestrians (right) and cyclists (left), which are separated by a yellow ground line. The carriageway is narrowed to one lane.

Travelling to HAU2 via U Hallesches Tor:

If you are coming from Hallesches Tor underground station, you will have to use an alternative footpath from Wilhelmstraße / Hallesches Ufer junction, which is separated from the carriageway by a construction fence – the actual footpath is currently closed. Please note: the alternative route is also used by cyclists. Pedestrians should keep to the right. We therefore currently recommend that visually impaired or blind visitors come to the HAU with an accompanying person.

Arrival HAU2 via U Möckernbrücke:

When you leave Möckernbrücke underground station, please stay on the footpath on the canal side until you reach Hallesches Ufer / Großbeerenstraße junction – the opposite side is currently closed due to construction work.
