For their new adventure, machina eX, together with HAU Hebbel am Ufer, is going out into the city: In “PATROL” the players become consultants in a fictional company offering surveillance services on commission. Using a smartphone, supported by friendly humanoid co-workers, they dive into a world of play and work that is placed over urban reality as a razor-thin fictional layer. As a theatrical near-future simulation “PATROL” makes a world playable in which the platform capitalism has opened up the futures market ‘security on demand’.
