Stop-Motion Films

Exclusively for the opening weekend, the New York-based Nature Theater of Oklahoma has put together a selection of their Stop-Motion films. In curious clips with songs from pop, rap, anti-folk, or funk, everything around them suddenly takes on a life of its own, whether it be a chair, a table, a plate, or a glass. In playful and fast-paced choreographies, which are also being created in HAU1, the spectator gets insights into surprising parallel worlds.

The radical entertainment-minimalist pieces from Nature Theater of Oklahoma mark a close collaboration with HAU, which will be continued in the coming year with a comprehensive program in cooperation with Foreign Affairs.
