Nature Theater of Oklahoma

Life and Times - Episodes 3&4

From a telephone conversation with Kristin Worrall

  • Performance
150 min one intermission

Shortly before the end of high school comes the time to look back at the years between age 14 and 18. It’s all about sex, drugs, rebelling, religion, longing, and pets – everything that’s part of an average life. Departing from the musical influence of the first episode and the disco and gymnastics style of the second, the third and fourth episodes make reference, in terms of set and plot structures, to formats that are familiar to us from Agatha Christie’s chamber play “The Mousetrap,” changing over to an animated film that was hand-drawn in great detail over several weeks. A complex and conceptual thriller about growing up.

Production: Nature Theater of Oklahoma and Burgtheater Wien. Coproduction: Kampnagel Hamburg, Kaaitheater (Brüssel), Festival De Internationale Keuze (Rotterdam) and Künstlerhaus Mousonturm (Frankfurt am Main).
