Shuma, Kutzkelina, Yegor Zabelov

Healing Vibrations / Concert

  • Music

The musicians of this evening share an unorthodox practice in dealing with the traditional, which can be discharged in a kind of sonic healing. As Shuma, Maryna Šukirava deconstructs traditional chants of her Belarusian homeland and transforms them into electronic music. In her yodelling performances, multidisciplinary musician and composer Kutzkelina aka Doreen Kutzke takes peculiar para-folk performances to the extreme. "Accordion fighter" Yegor Zabelov blows away any clichéd expectations of his instrument.
