Part of the Festival “Sleepless Nights: Burkina Faso between Culture and Revolution”
By now Smockey has become a legend in Burkina Faso, and not only among young people. As a musician he has politicised and mobilised young Burkinabes for years, and as one of the founders and activists in the movement "Balai Citoyen" (Broom Citizen) he played a significant role in the fall of dictator Blaise Compaoré.
