30 years of Tarwater! The history of the duo, consisting of Bernd Jestram and Ronald Lippok, goes back even further: in the early 1980s, the two got to know each other in the East Berlin music and art underground. Their 13th album, “Nuts of Ay”, was released in November 2024 - their first in ten years. Elegant hypno-pop meets fine electronic sounds, but the band's post-punk history and their increased work for film and radio play productions over the years also influence the album. In keeping with Tarwater tradition, the album also features collaborations, now with guests such as Alva Noto, Masha Qrella, Lars Rudolph and Schneider TM.

Living democracy in songwriting, vocals that end in anthemic harmonies: Barbara Morgenstern, Felix Müller-Wrobel (Kante/Sport), Alex Paulick (Coloma/Kreidler) and Sebastian Vogel (Britta/Kante) have formed the band The Morning Stars for about a year now. Their shared penchant for post-rock, tricky guitar rhythms and shimmering keyboard pads and the joy of playing are the result of a constellation of friends and companions making music together for the first time.
