Tiago Rodrigues

By Heart

Part of "The Power of Powerlessness"

  • Theatre
90 Min

Tiago Rodrigues’ piece revolves around the act of learning a poem by heart, creating on stage a community of poetic resistance. It is about a theatre that recognises itself as that place to transmit what cannot be measured in metres, euros or bytes. It is about the safe hiding-place that forbidden texts have always found in our brains and our hearts, as a guarantee of civilization even in the most barbaric and desolate times.
