Horse: an opera

Part of "NO LIMITS"

  • Theatre
  • Performance
70min

A giant statue of a horse made of cardboard stands in the space, seemingly lost yet somehow able to dominate it subliminally. A monument to fear, and those present here inevitably seem to have to find some way to relate to it. More or less no words are spoken, the lighting is sparse, the atmosphere is marked by stillness and quiet. With “Horse: An Opera” the young Flemish theatre collective Tibaldus en andere hoeren attempts to find images for the way of living in western society today, marked by catastrophes.

Coproduction: Theater Stap. With the support of: Vlaamse overheid, stad Gent, Kunstencentrum De Werf.
