Unguided Tour

Heiner Goebbels, Artistic Director of the Ruhrtriennale 2012-2014, personally presents the programme for this year’s festival.  Using selected images, videos and music he will offer an Unguided Tour through some 30 productions of which more than half are new productions and German premieres. At the Ruhrtriennale international artists enter into a dialogue with the sites of our industrial heritage.  Music, theatre, dance, performance and the visual arts open new spaces for our imagination, perhaps precisely at the point where the invited artists cease to be concerned with the division of the arts into classical disciplines. The “Unguided Tour” thrives on the improvisations, surprises and spontaneity of its changing guests.
