In advance of the exhibition “Fire and Forget”, which will open at the KW – Institute for Contemporary Art in May 2015, the curators Ellen Blumenstein and Daniel Tyradellis are hosting a discussion about the fantasies and phantasms connected to the topic of gun violence in art and scholarship. Together with the political scientist Herfried Münkler and others guests from the fields of art, philosophy and science, they will discuss the blind spots in the various disciplines that set the perspective and define how they deal with weapons.
