Ivo Dimchev / Franz West

X-on

  • Performance

Taking the form of his androgynous alter ego Lili Handel, Ivo Dimchev travels between the borders of gender, as he does in many of his solo performances. Singing stridently and moving around grotesquely in high heels, he and three dancers investigate the sculptures of the Austrian artist Franz West. This work marks the Bulgarian exception-performer’s first guest appearance in HAU.

Production: Humarts Foundation. Co-production: Kaaitheater (Brussels), Impulstanz (Vienna), Frascati (Amsterdam), Volksroom (Brussels).
