Magic Maids: Broomology 101

  • Workshop
English /  approx. 240 mins.

As the title suggests, the broom is the central axis of the workshop “Broomology 101: Physicality and Utterances”, led by the two choreographers Eisa Jocson and Venuri Perera. Using playful transformation and somatic explorations, stereotypical images of “the witch” and “the maid” are broken up and discussed together in this workshop. Last but not least this is a celebration of gossip as a practice of female solidarity and as a form of knowledge sharing.
