Ein Projekt zu realen Sehnsüchten und zum Begehren nach Relevanz in Theater, Kunst und Musik

Phantasma und Politik #0

  • Dialogue

In view of the current boom in documentary and interventionist projects, HAU would like to track down the claims that the spheres of art and of politics make on one another, and to work out perspectives of how the traditional antagonism between autonomy and commitment might be overcome. In collaboration with the art theorist Helmut Draxler, an interdisciplinary series of events on this topic is currently being conceived. It bears the title “Phantasma and Politics” and is meant to accompany the theater’s programme discursively over the course of a year. In a pilot event, the curators will open up their plans for discussion. The dialogue partner this evening are the artist and art theorist Marion von Osten and the theater director Hans-Werner Kroesinger.
