Rimini Protokoll in conversation with protagonists from "Situation Rooms"

To mark the end of the series of performances of "Situation Rooms", there will be a discussion with Daniel Wetzel and Helgard Haug of Rimini Protokoll and some of the protagonists of the installation.

Abu Abdu al Homssi, Syria, was born in 1974 in the Bab Drid neighborhood in Homs and lived there his whole life until 2012. He appears under a pseudonym.

Jan van Aken, Germany, is a trained biologist who has been working for over ten years around the world for the cause of disarmament. He served as a biological weapons inspector for the United Nations. Since 2009, he has been a member of the German Bundestag for the Left party.

Barbara Happe, Germany, political scientist has worked for 13 years for the environmentalist and human rights organization urgewald. Her aim is to promote the strict regulation of banks and other financial service providers and their financial involvements, especially in the armaments sector.

Volker Herzog, Germany, worked for 22 years as a surgeon at Evangelisches Hubertus Krankenhaus, Berlin-Zehlendorf. His first project as a war zone surgeon for Doctors without Borders brought him to Sri Lanka in 1998, additional missions brought him to Ethiopia, Sudan, and Liberia, later followed by the Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone.

Nathan Fain, born in the USA, is a computer hacker. He has lived in Jerusalem, Israel, and currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
