Skills

Der Aufbau

  • Performance
  • Music

The duo Skills, based in Berlin and Hamburg, makes music by means of dance and performance. The object and the starting point of their first full-evening production in HAU Hebbel am Ufer is the technical process of setting up for a concert, which normally remains hidden from public view. What exactly are the two accomplices working toward on stage? Are they getting ready for the big entrance? Will there be an explosion? “Der Aufbau” is a dance piece about bodies and technology, control and accident.

Production: Skills with HAU Hebbel am Ufer and Kampnagel (Hamburg). Funded by the  Hauptstadtkulturfonds, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the Rusch-Stiftung. Thank you to PACT Zollverein Essen.
