Dejan Šuljan

“Auto” / “Meine Aufnahme” / “Ohne Titel”

  • Film

What determines the way we are? Or who does? Dejan Šuljan, documents his everyday life in three short videos. The first film - “Car” - shows scenes with him sitting in the back of his father's car. In the second - “My recording” - he directs the camera at himself and captures a journal of thoughts. In the third one - “Untitled” - he films the screen of his personal computer and content that he likes. His videos give an insight into his world from his personal perspective, while at the same time creating something utterly artificial.

Dejan Šuljan was a member of the Arts & Inclusion program of Per.Art from Novi Sad. The group was founded on the initiative of the Serbian choreographer and performer Saša Asentić. Dejan Šuljan's films were created as a continuation of a project in which members of Per.Art took photographs of their everyday life with disposable cameras.
