Yılanlar şahı Şahmeran ve Camsap / Die Schlangenkönigin Şahmaran und Camsap

  • Theatre
Minimum age: 4 years
With German surtitles /  Turkish /  approx. 60 mins.

Camsap discovers an underground cave while playing hide-and-seek: this is the world of the snake queen Şahmaran and many other healers. They live in harmony with animals and plants and have withdrawn from humans. Camsap promises to keep their secret.

The MINA theatre group retells the Persian-Anatolian fairy tale with a theatre and puppet show, live music and a snake choir. And celebrates its tenth anniversary: inclusive, young and old, and heart-warming. It is about nothing less than friendship and trust, secrets and the healing of the world.

With Berlin bleibt!, Werkstatt Mehringplatz and Treffpunkt Mehringplatz various connections and collaborations between HAU and numerous neighbourhood projects and organisations have emerged and grown in recent years.

This is also the case with the theatre group MINA - Leben in Vielfalt e.V., a place of play and encounter for actors and musicians aged 9 to 50 with and without disabilities. Located on Mehringplatz in Kreuzberg, in the immediate neighbourhood of HAU, they are now performing on the HAU2 stage for the second time.
